JOB ROLE SUMMARY

Senior Individual contributor role. Primary responsibility is to manage the overall capacity and planning across all platforms (shared, dedicated, mainframe, open systems, distributed), supporting both Ensono internal and client environments. This Sr. Capacity Manager will work with various platform/client capacity planners and other organizations (engineering, product, operations, finance and vendors) to properly identify the IT resources needed to support existing and upcoming demand, as well as opportunities to drive optimization and efficiency. This role is expected to support and assess capacity feasibility inquiries, conduct 'what-if' analysis, assess hardware availability, and support development of business cases to support upcoming demand.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work in a matrix global planning team and develop the multi-year capacity plan (both for dedicated client and shared infrastructure) that supports the forecasted demand that is based on historical, sales pipeline information, platform architecture/design, current and planned product releases, capacity availability (hardware, software) along with performing detail financial analytics (capital, expense).

  • Work in conjunction with other planners to support the end-to-end Global Capacity Inquiry Process with focused responsibility in the storage and backup platform. This requires full understanding of how each platform interfaces and impacts each other.
  • Utilize storage experience and be able to perform detail analytics and work closely with storage/backup engineering and operations teams to drive optimal capacity design and usage.
  • Interface with capacity team members and work with other platform/client capacity planners, technical engineering and operations teams, sales, solution architects, and vendors to develop architectural and standard design. Properly plan and manage storage/backup hardware/software needed to support the required demand. Develop capacity optimization plans, expansion plans and the appropriate business cases when required.
  • Be able to work with technical engineering and architects to provide and present storage/backup solutions to Ensono's clients' critical infrastructure.
  • Partner with other internal organizations to manage required hardware assets by platform (e.g. storage systems).
  • Provide clients and executive leadership capacity reviews.

This is an Individual contributor role and does not have direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 8 years of Large-Scale IT Infrastructure planning experience with a Technical Bachelor Degree.
  • Experience in IT Storage and Backup Infrastructure.
  • Experience in various modeling and forecasting methodology.
  • Familiarity with how storage and backup infrastructure interface and impacts other platforms (e.g. compute, network).

Preferred

  • Familiarity with compute virtualization
  • Financial Analytical and Planning Experience
  • Planning, modeling and simulation Experience
  • ServiceNow, Salesforce and ITSM Experience
  • ITIL foundation knowledge
  • Effective verbal, written and presentation skills
