The Field Inventory Logistics Supervisor will plan, organize, and control all receiving, processing of returned inventory, Loaner management and fulfillment, and field inventory activities to ensure our customer's needs and expectations are continuously met. This includes but is not limited to sharing knowledge about the products and services offered, preparing, and maintaining the schedule for the team, resolving problems, managing the receiving and processing of Loaners as well as other inventory-related records, optimizing field inventory levels to achieve sales and inventory turn targets, training/developing other department employees and participating in improvement related activities. This is an onsite position located in Houston.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this role. Other related duties may be assigned to meet the business need.

  • Drive & manage efficient decontamination & field inventory return processes throughout the facility.
  • Manage, mentor, and lead all employees within the team to achieve desired performance results and exceptional customer service.
  • Conducts regular team meetings to determine progress on projects and required tasks.
  • Manage loaner tray fulfillment processes, from request to fulfillment to return and reconciliation, to ensure the needs of our customers are met.
  • Evaluates opportunities for improvement and take action to improve processes and reduce waste by applying EGX.
  • Develop reporting & KPIs on key areas driving productivity within the team.
  • Manage receiving returned fielded inventory, processing returned fielded inventory, and restocking returned personal trays.
  • Leads hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, and termination of staff and resolve personnel issues.
  • Troubleshoots and utilizes problem-solving techniques to resolve customer questions and issues promptly.
  • Creates, drives, and maintains standard work and SOPs for the team across all processes.
  • Participate in quality control/assurance-related activities.
  • Anticipate the needs of internal and external customers & coordinate with them to find solutions to problems efficiently.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience by exhibiting a helpful and team-oriented attitude towards customers and employees.
  • Evaluate opportunities for improvement and take action to improve processes and reduce waste.
  • Mentor and train team members in key areas to achieve desired performance results and exceptional customer service.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisor experience
  • Must have strong Microsoft Excel & analytical skills
  • ERP experience required (NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP are preferred)

Preferences:

  • Previous work experience managing medical device loaner programs
  • Previous work experience in inventory management
  • General knowledge of distribution, supply chain, logistics and accounting.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality and sensitivity of customer records
  • Ability to operate a computer and other general office equipment
  • Must have basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to articulate clearly, professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with little supervision.
  • Previous work experience should demonstrate good interpersonal skills, self-motivation, flexibility, detail-oriented work style, professional appearance and attitude, and ability to effectively communicate with customers/clients at all levels.
  • Experience with ERP software preferred (Oracle experience highly valued).
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration among team members.
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative leadership style which promotes teamwork and excellence.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, projecting a strong customer and associate focus.
  • Organized, analytical approach to problem solving and comfortable negotiating across all levels and functions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, complete deadlines on-time and maintain strong accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities to review and interpret data.

Work environment | Physical demands:

  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • May be required to lift and carry 25 pounds.
  • May be required to tug, pull, or lift up to twenty (25) pounds.
