Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector performs inspections, checks testing and sampling procedures for product manufacturing processes. Carries out packaging line, manufacturing inspections and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials to ensure that company standards are met. Monitors critical equipment and instrumentation. May draft procedures and assist with validating or troubleshooting testing methods, including assays. May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated.

Position summary:

Performs extensive receiving, in-process, or finished product inspections on devices, raw materials, parts, packaging and other components following established Quality Control procedures and standards. Duties may include seasoned proficiency at: setting up advanced inspections; demonstrating seasoned ability to interpret instructions, drawings, sketches and specifications for inspections; testing, sampling and troubleshooting of components, electronic devices and/or raw materials; ensuring inspected component meets pre-determined standards; applying approval or rejection labels on components and or raw materials; utilizing measuring and quality inspection devices and tools; examining workmanship, proper installation, binding and alignment; preparing and maintaining all necessary paperwork, recording defects as needed; sharing with management ideas or recommendations to improve processes and better solutions. May interact with external vendors as needed.

Essential Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Needs to occasionally twist, stoop, crouch, reach about shoulders and below knees
• Needs to occasionally lift 40-50 pounds
• Must be able to move around a warehouse environment 30% of the time
• Proven ability to organize, analyze and present data and relate findings to business solutions.
• Solid business acumen and effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Customer satisfaction focused
• Able to execute multiple tasks within tight timelines
• Adaptable to change within a fast paced, matrix environment

Required Experience:

• 2+ years' experience as a mechanical inspector
• Proficiency at basic QC hand tools, surface plate setup, and CMM operations.
• Able to determine sample size using the C=0 sampling plan chart.
• Able to follow instructions and work as a member of an established team of dedicated professionals.
