Job Summary
Kairos Power is seeking a highly motivated Construction Quality Control Inspector to be responsible for examining materials, assemblies and installation during the construction process to ensure they meet established quality standards by measuring, observing, and identifying any defects, using necessary measurement equipment, to maintain quality control and flag issues that may need adjustments during the construction process. This position will act as a key component in obtaining NRC acceptance of Nuclear Safety Related construction.

Responsibilities
- Thoroughly examines materials against pre-defined quality specifications using visual checks and measuring tools (tape measures, gauges, etc.).
- Detects any flaws, inconsistencies, or deviations from quality standards in materials and finished products.
- Observes ongoing construction operations to identify potential quality issues and ensures adherence to established procedures.
- Investigates quality issues to determine root causes and implements corrective/preventive actions.
- Documents inspection results, including details of defects, measurements, and any corrective actions taken.
- Interprets inspection data and generates reports to inform quality improvement initiatives.
- Follows established quality management systems and protocols to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Ensures quality control processes align with industry regulations, safety, standards, and company policies.
- Reads and understands technical drawings and detailed quality requirements to accurately assess product quality.
- Communicates quality concerns to construction personnel and management, suggesting improvements to construction processes to minimize defects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Some relevant inspection, quality assurance and quality control experience in industrial or commercial construction is preferred.
- Ability to identify root causes of quality issues and proposing corrective actions.
- Ability to interpret inspection data and generate reports to inform quality improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of construction processes, quality control principles, and relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail to meticulously identify even minor defects and inconsistencies.
- Proficiency in using various measuring tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey quality concerns to construction teams and management.
- Ability to work with highly collaborative team.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Prioritizes and ensures safety of oneself and others.
- Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge.
- Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges and issues.
