Position Summary

The R&D Engineering Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget. This role will oversee the entire project life cycle and coordinates cross functional teams to develop project scope, cost estimates, schedule and work plan to deliver the project. Engineering experience is preferred to drive Root cause analysis and ensure timely completion of design activities. The project manager also prepares and presents reports for upper management regarding status of the project. Communication with both internally and externally, assessing risk and managing budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partners with project sponsors and stakeholders to develop project objectives and business case
• Leads full life cycle project delivery for multiple projects
• Manages multiple work streams within project to meet objectives and deliverables
• Executing and delivering project deliverables at each milestone within budget
• Liaison between project members, cross functional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedule, cost and meeting plans are communicated
• Plans and facilitates project meetings to align the project team to goals and to track project tasks
• Prepares agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries
• Monitors task completion status to identify at risk project tasks and to develop mitigation plans
• Allocates resources, budgets and hours to the project and adjusts allocation when necessary
• Update relevant stakeholders and core team members on the project progress
• Lead project team meetings and communicate action items to team members
• Report on project progress and escalate issues to management and leadership

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience leading cross-functional corporate programs
• Experience in the management of moderate to complex projects and an in-depth knowledge of project management software
• Experience in successful delivery of highly visible projects
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Project Management methodologies

Travel Requirements:

• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time; both domestic and international travel is required.
• Typical work-related travel assignments range 5-7 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required.

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience in product development and manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in MS Project preferred
• PMP and/or Agile certification preferred
