Business Unit Description:
Global Surgical R&D unit reports to the Senior Vice President R&D and includes R&D Advanced Technology, R&D Special/Customs, R&D Base Business, R&D PMO and R&D New Product Development
Job Title/High-Level Position Summary: The Medical Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the planning, management and completion of projects within a designated timeline and budget, by leading a team of cross functional subject matter experts. The Project Manager may lead many types of projects, i.e., New Product Development, Base Business or Advanced Technology based on need, with a focus on New Product Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement projects
- Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
- Define tasks and required resources, by creating a project schedule and by creating and leading a team
- Monitor project progress and set deadlines
- Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
- Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables
- Manage the project budget
- Overcome obstacles that arise
- Evaluate and assess the result of the project
- Currently, Enovis does not provide sponsorship for employment visas (e.g., H-1B) and will not offer such sponsorship in the future. Applicants must already have full-time work authorization in the United States, both now and in the future, without requiring sponsorship.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
- Engineering or Project Management Degree
- 2-3 years' experience as Project Manager
- Proficiency in MS Project tool
Travel Requirements:
- National and international travel may be needed, with the purpose of attending meetings, cadaver labs, participating conferences and workshops. Frequency may vary depending on the projects, however it is in the range of 4-6 business trips per year.
Desired Characteristics:
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving and leadership skills
- Project management qualification (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent experience as a project manager
- Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
- Conflict resolution experience
- Medical Device experience
- Additional Project Management software skills
