POSITION SUMMARY

Working with the Senior Design Manager or Design Manager this role will manage the Store Design creative output for the associated brand cluster. With the Senior Design Manager or Design Manager it will be responsible for the creative execution of any brand 3D design requirements, including (but not limited too) new, remodel, refresh, and relocation of all store environments (inc. free standing stores, department stores and pop ups).
This role will manage all Store Design output but will work collaboratively across both visual merchandising as to ensure creative consistency across all channels. The role will act as a strategic partner to our brands ensuring creativity is to the highest standard.

Working with the senior creative ops teams the role will be responsible for managing budgets and capital expenditures in terms of both value and phasing. As part of the role you should actively work with UK Procurement and Global Design teams to find creative cost savings in design of stores whilst maintaining high standards.

WHAT THIS ROLE DOES

  • New store opening and refurbishments
    • Department store counters
    • Pop-ups
  • Store launch events (depending on size, this either sits with VM or SD)
  • Manage all design processes of a new build

    • Create concept drawings
    • Review, approval detailed designs of testers
  • Creates designs to support overall brand strategy and storytelling with minimal guidance.
  • Ensure brand equity is maximized at all times, in conjunction with brand and retailer guidelines
  • Work with PM to create tender document
  • Work with retail / brand to incorporate changes to designs
  • Designs to budget and works within cost guidelines

  • Ability to work with shopfitters and sign off construction drawings for manufacture
  • Good knowledge of materials and manufacturing and installation processes
  • Understanding of value engineering
  • Ability to elevate the consumer journey and experience
  • Great attention to detail
  • Office 365 - Excel and Word capabilities required
  • Holistic 3D experience and execution capabilities
  • Coordination skills / managing stakeholders for all elements relevant to design.
  • Business acumen and commercial mindset
  • Understanding of architect standards for region/mkt
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards and structures, including building regulations, DDA requirements, CDM and any other relevant
  • Holistic 3D experiences
  • Expertise in specialty-multi (is a plus)
  • Luxury mindset with Portfolio focused on beauty and luxury
  • Experience managing vendor relationships
  • Experience working with global guidelines but delivering local execution
  • Experience managing multiple brands in fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of local retailer/ media specs and requirements
  • Excellent communication, organization and relationship management skills

Nice to have

  • Competent in Adobe Creative Suite - Indesign & Illustrator
  • Portfolio focused on beauty and luxury
  • Experience in designing across various consumer touchpoints (inc. ability to design for specialty-multi, open-sell)
  • Technology and integration of lighting
