Team Overview:
The Digital Supplier Manager Team Leader is a key role within the innovative Edward Jones Digital division, supporting the execution of the firm's technology strategies by managing strategic suppliers, supplier strategy, operations and relationships. This role will manage a team to support a rapidly evolving technology landscape with an increasing use of suppliers. The team will manage suppliers who will enable Digital division goals and objectives in line with firm strategic priorities.
What You'll Do:
- Build and maintain vendor relationships to provide high quality, cost-effective external services
- Develop and implement consistent processes and governance related to supplier activities
- Educate and support teams on the operating models with suppliers to ensure streamlined onboarding, offboarding and execution of efforts, providing consistent and centralized processes for contingent workforce resources
- Develop and implement effective statement of work (SOW) creation, review & approval process
- Develop cross functional relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including: Sourcing, Legal, HR, and other Technology areas
- Develop, implement and improve supplier performance metrics. Investigate and resolve performance issues and partner with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
- Work with suppliers to identify and develop next-generation capabilities in support of the Digital strategy
- Partner with FP&A and Finance division to perform financial reconciliation and appropriate allocation of vendor related expenses.
This role will be focused on relationships with hardware, software and services (consultants) suppliers. The Team Lead will align team activities, strategies, responsibilities and objectives with the firm's strategic direction. Key focus areas include:
- Develop and execute on-going improvements for processes related to the team (e.g. resource management and support processes).
- Ensure prudent use of the firm's financial resources.
- Provide leadership, development, and mentoring to associates through examples and timely feedback.
- Develop successors for key positions on their team
- Manage and develop self, while internalizing leadership feedback.
- Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships across teams, departments, countries, vendors and other divisions.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers while aligning to the firms objectives.
- Market knowledge of IT products, and services and current trends
- Understanding of sourcing processes
- Understanding of system development methodologies and processes within technology (agile, change management, QA, Project Life Cycle, etc.)
- Able to appropriately react to supplier governance issues while leading team resources with appropriate urgency
