Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Warehouse Logistics Ops Manager. This position is based at our Indianapolis, IN distribution center.
The Warehouse Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership of a high-volume order fulfillment distribution center, as well providing functional excellence support for the divisional facilities. This position will ensure product receipt, kitting, storage, and order fulfillment operations through the optimization of resources and processes while achieving key safety, quality, cost, and engagement performance.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

What you'll do:
The Warehouse Logistics Operations Manager will drive the operation, development, and implementation of key processes to ensure compliance within company policies and procedures. By using continual process improvement tools (such as Lean and Six Sigma), this position will lead employee initiatives to create and promote an environment where team members are involved, empowered, and committed to the success of the company
- Manages a staff of supervisors and associates to ensure timely distribution of merchandise within the standards of budget, policies, procedures and quality to satisfy the requirements of the customers, sales operations and finance divisions.
- Effectively lead associates by creating a common vision and an understanding of the organization's strategy, as well as enhancing associate commitment through the celebration of individual and group achievements.
- Ensures the development of systems and procedures for operating and managing operations in a profitable manner. Plans, directs, and implements warehouse operations and administrative support to meet prescribed productivity and service goals.
- Directs the operations of the warehouse management team to achieve prescribed objectives. Applies sound communication and motivational techniques, creates programs to supervise, counsel and discipline subordinates.
- Ensures the creation of the necessary warehouse information systems to meet company objectives and facilitate the efficient operations of the warehouse. Remains knowledgeable regarding changes in hardware and software technology.
- Must possess the ability to overcome resistance to organizational change, influence hourly and salaried associates to embrace it, and have a continuous improvement mindset.
- Must develop and maintain rapport with associates at all levels of the organization to drive results. Must interface effectively with multiple departments/functions in the site and division, such as Supply Chain, Customer Facing teams and or Senior leaders.
- Must possess the ability to train a diverse group of employees, adapting training programs and presentation style to fit the audience.
- Work with all levels of management, carriers, vendors, and sales.
- Logical, organized, and multi-task oriented. Daily decisions on crewing issues, business changes, contingency plans.
- Ability to operate within tight deadlines with multiple priorities that are subject to frequent changes.
Qualifications:
Required Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of four (4) years work experience in distribution and/or operations management.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future
- No relocation is available for this position. Only candidates that reside within 50 miles of Indianapolis, IN will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five (5) years experience or higher in warehouse and/or distribution center environment
- Experience with Oracle WMS/ERP
Skills:
- Proven ability as a self-starter and proactive problem-solver
- Effective communication, strategic, and leadership skills.
- In depth knowledge of the material handling equipment options for distribution and optimization of the life and use of the equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiatives to make and stand by decisions.
- Solid background and accomplishments in Distribution Operations
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite
