What will you be doing?

World Wide Technology, Inc. currently has an opportunity available for an Architect: IT Logistics to support the fast-paced and dynamic Internal IT Department in St. Louis, MO

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mentoring team members in the development and delivery of product and process solutions.
  • Analyze Business Processes, capture macro-level business requirements, and design solutions for all requests on logistics-related platforms.
  • Working closely with process architects and solutions architects aligned to supply chain value streams to build longer-term logistics solution strategies.
  • Work with Product Management to establish short-term and long-term logistics' functional and technical roadmap to meet business demands.
  • Collaborate with the product management and delivery teams to drive the implementation according to a roadmap.
  • Evaluate current solution and application architecture to identify and address gaps and technical debt.
  • Identify the shortest route to fail fast to help speed up solution delivery.
  • Balance long-term planning, technical debt management, operational load, and team velocity while delivering new features.
  • Establish and maintain feature-technology mapping and drive governance towards achievement.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle Logistics (receiving, put-away, inventory movement, LPNS, costing, etc.)
  • Advanced ability to present in-depth technical solution demos and presentations to business stakeholders.
  • Ability to break down complex technical solutions and communicate so audiences of different levels of specialized experience can easily understand them.
  • Strong leader with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Active listener with the ability to quickly assess a situation or problem and communicate understanding with the business.
  • Ability to be innovative, have outside-the-box creativity, and present alternative ideas functionally and technically.
  • 8+ years of full application lifecycle development experience using multiple frameworks.
  • 3+ years of technology leadership experience (direct reporting or dotted line with proven success metrics as defined by SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
  • 3+ years of experience in API lifecycle management application integrations
  • 5+ years of working in SQL, PL/SQL, SOA
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Supply Chain Modules: data model, custom objects, workflows, and configuration.
  • Experience with technology delivery management tools (ServiceNow, VersionOne).

• Mapping what is built and how it is built to business needs
• Identifying technical and functional gaps & design flaws
• Employing a future-forward, broader view in how solutions are built: minimizing tech debt
Defining & Maintaining Standards
• Developing and documenting technical & functional patterns and best practices
• Communicating and enforcing these and other standards established by the Architecture team to delivery teams
• Bridging the communication/consistency gap between teams: spreading solutions coming out of Enterprise Architecture to and between delivery teams
Aligning Functionality & Technology
• Deciding which problems are solved with which technology platforms
Selection & Introduction of Technology
• Identifying when incumbent technologies don't meet needs
• Spearheading the New Technology Process (NTP) to address these gaps
• Implementing NTP-selected technology platforms and driving adoption into delivery teams
Strategic Planning
• Developing longer-term business capability and technology plans that span all of IT & advocating for them with Product Owners and Management
• Rationalizing applications: consolidating duplicate business functionality into single products
