Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Value Stream Engineer in EL Paso, TX.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Coordinate and manage manufacturing engineering activities in production areas in order to support existing production line, new product development and new production lines, product transfers, equipment specifications and maintenance, lean manufacturing and EQS deployment, MESH initiatives, and product and quality cost improvements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Value Steam Engineer (VSE)
• Actively participate in the NPI/NPR process in his/her area of responsibility
• Support, advise and actively participate to achieve Key performing indicators (KPI's) identified for product lines under his/her responsibilities such as Safety, Quality, On time performance, Productivity and others as agreed with VS Manager, OPEX Manager and Lead VS Engineer.
• Coordinate maintenance of documentation applicable to product lines under his/her responsibilities
• • Utilize his/her technical leverage to support the departments of Production Control, Customer Service, Production, Quality, Manufacturing, Accounting and Materials.
• Actively participate in the implementation of improvement projects that positively impact Cost, Quality and Cycle Time.
• Actively participate/lead or support the Corrective and Preventive Actions assigned to product lines under his/her responsibility
• Perform duties of Internal Auditor of ISO 14000/9000 for reviewing the implementation of these management systems.
• Assigned to support the ELSS tool ownership for Value Stream mapping, Standard work, manning calculation, 5S+, Layout design and adherence in areas under his/her responsibilities.
• Additionally, is responsible for maintaining the applicable PFMEA's on product lines under his/her responsibility.
• Measurement of success is the achievement of Demonstrating level per ELSS criteria in these tools in areas under his/her responsibility and HI 5 indicator performance.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering. from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing engineering

• Ability to travel 10% domestically

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the EL Paso, TX facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated proficiency with PC and related software.
• Training and Experience with Lean and Six Sigma Tools.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
