What you'll do:
Day to day Responsibilities:
• Support the trade compliance strategy for bids and new business.
• Working with Global trade compliance and the local business to create a trade compliance plan for each customer and platform.
• Working with Suppliers and Global Trade compliance in support of export licences for supplier shipments to the UK.
• Undertake the role of Export co-ordinator and Non US empowered official as required under global trade compliance polices.
• Taking a proactive approach working with the project teams on order book management to ensure that delivers are not stopped because of the lack of license
• Working with the engineering team to ensure that each product has a correct export classification in a timely manner.
• Ensure that local site polices are relevant and align with the Global trade compliance policies.
• Checking end user statements and collating the information from programmes and customers.
• Provide expert guidance and support with regards to UK Export Controls and U.S Export Administration (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
• Support with export control classification determination.
• Collaboration with GTM EMEA Corporate team on strategic goals and objectives.
• Drafting Trade Control Plans to support the business units Trade Control activities for specific programmes, contracts and customers.
• Supporting the customer services team with the processing of orders and compliance with UK and extra territorial requirements under the ITAR.
• Provide awareness training to the business with support from GTM EMEA Corporate team.
Qualifications:
- University Degree or Equivalent Years Experience
Skills:
• Proficient in using SPIRE.
• Customs Knowledge (IPR) and local export requirements, sanctions, embargos.
• Experienced in verifying End User Declarations for various jurisdictions.
• Knowledge of using DECCs and SNAP-R is desirable but not essential.
• Guidance to the business around UK Security Controls and experience in the submission of F1686s and F680s desirable but not essential
• UK OIEL, SIEL and OGEL management is essential.
• SAP/GTS experience is desirable but not essential.
• US export knowledge strongly preferred - alternatively training would be provided for the right candidate.
• Knowledge of ITAR Sublicensee management to include Dual Third Country Nationals (DTCNs), contract employees and sublicensees.
• Awareness of local customs schemes such as IPR and OPR is desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of other regulatory to include SCOMET, BAFA and DGA is desirable but not essential.
