Eaton's IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Technician II.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.92 per hour. The hours for first shift are as follows: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

Specializes in either facilities or mechanic maintenance:
Mechanic: Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies plant mechanical equipment under little to no supervision and occasionally orders replacement parts.
Facilities: Performs general facilities maintenance under little to no supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Finds and orders replacement and repair parts for machines.
  • Follows blueprints, drawings and general instructions to plan and layout assignment.
  • Maintains production machinery and equipment to keep it in good, working condition.
  • Performs minor troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical equipment and systems, especially hydraulic presses, which may require isolating the malfunction, disassembly and repair.
  • Performs preventative maintenance under little to no supervision.
  • Refurbishes and/or repairs equipment and building fixtures as required.
  • Performs preventative maintenance.
  • Assists movement of equipment, material and furniture.
  • Performs safety and housekeeping duties.

Qualifications:

Basic/Required Qualifications:

  • Ablility to read and interpret blueprints and drawings with little to no supervision.
  • Minimum of 4+ years experience working with hydraulics and electronics.
  • High school or trade school education or equivalent
  • Good mechanical aptitude with knowledge of practices, tools and equipment used in mechanic's trade
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (25 pounds)
  • Minimum of 2+ years training in general carpentry, plumbing and electrical
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in arms regulations. All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Competent in working with CNC lathe, mills, mold presses, stamping equipment, manual machines and air compressors
  • General mechanical abilities
  • Ability to understand directions and have problem solving abilities
