The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Eaton is seeking an experienced electric motor design team leader for its Power Electronics (PE) Center of Excellence (CoE) team.
The PE CoE at Eaton is a catalyst for the company's growth, driving innovation through the creation of scalable, cost-effective, and manufacturable power electronics technology, platforms, and standardized design methodologies. These common building blocks can be adopted across various business units, laying a solid foundation for rapid product development.

This individual will play a critical role in guiding and managing a team of engineers and projects. The role demands a technically proficient person with strong leadership skills, capable of steering global team members and fostering collaboration across business divisions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Leads and directs a team of engineers and projects to achieve stated goals and objectives.
• Monitors and reports on overall performance of the team and projects. Establishes a performance-based culture, motivating the team to set and achieve measurable goals and objectives that align with PE CoE strategies.
• Performs design, modeling, and simulation of electric motor designs such as induction or IPM motors.
• Develops technical requirements and creates technical reports and presentations.
• Stays current with the latest electric motor technologies and business trends, applies knowledge to Eaton's applications, and creates new opportunities.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience in the design and product development of electric motors, with a focus on electromagnetic designs of motors.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship, now and within the future
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee or Refugee
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's or PhD in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of electric motor designs, encompassing aspects such as electromagnetics, mechanical, and thermal aspects.
• Experience in the design and product development of electric motors for aerospace applications.
• Familiar with electric motor manufacturing process
• Familiar with compliance standards, including Military (MIL) standards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering processes (e.g., DFSS)
• Experience working in diverse cultural situations with global customers and team members.
