Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Team Leader - 1st Shift. This position is based at our Indianapolis, IN location.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.

Position Overview:

The Team Leader will assist the supervisor in various tasks of system transactions, scheduling and assignment. Support Supervisor in accumulation of productive data and subsequent analysis. Coordinate scheduling and follow-up of both on the job training and compliance with site safety regulations.

• Assist Supervisor in day-to-day DC operations.
• Monitor workload and allocate resources as required.
• Coordinate all OJT and safety training requirements.
• Participate in OJT and safety team.
• Assist in productivity and non-conformance data collection and analysis.
• Research answers and correct minor day-to-day operations problems and questions; troubleshooting to include both internal and external customer inquiries.
• Recommend new ideas and proposals supporting site scorecard categories and initiatives.
• Provide temporary supervision as required if Supervisor is away - of limited time duration.
• Support all site safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Support material replenishment system and coordinate material handling with warehouse.
• Perform work of equal or lower classifications as needed.
• Observe safety policies, report unsafe acts and hazards, and maintain a clean and orderly department.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain).
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing and or distribution environment
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles will be considered.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
• Associate degree

Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication
• Strong people skills
• Strong PC skills -WMS, WORD, and EXCEL
• Must be able to learn on the job, adapt to changes and become proficient quickly.
• Position requires high level of concentration and close attention to details.
• Must be responsive to customer requests both internally and externally.
• Must be able to exercise discretion and judgment.
