Eaton's new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, integrates all current activities into a much larger site. Campus is completed by the end of 2023, and the 16,500 m² site will house research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof and will create up to 100 additional jobs.

As one of the world's largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Eaton's expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton's Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

What you'll do:

As a Supplier Quality Team Manager you are going to be responsible for coordinating Supplier Quality and local Supplier Quality team for our Eaton Electric Helsinki factory. Your goal will be to ensure Supplier Quality in coordination with Global SQM.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Leading the supplier quality team, coordinating team activities, and developing the supplier quality strategy in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Be the local supplier quality lead in NPI (ProLaunch APQP), VAVE (cost-out) and supplier second source projects in coordination with global SQM
  • Create supplier quality strategy with Procurement, Category Management and Global Supplier Quality
  • Ensure that Supplier Excellence Manual is followed by suppliers
  • Develop all preventive quality tools (APQP) with Project Management & direct contributive functions (R&D, Support, etc)
  • Coordinate PPAP and APQP tools and implementation
  • Train and coach suppliers using the Eaton / supplier quality core tools (PPAP, SEM, FMEA, etc.)
  • Manage PPAP and FAI approvals for valid and new supplier parts while being the owner of cross-functional team PPAP/FAI reviews in development of new products or changes related to current products
  • Manage Supplier Quality Management activities, and overall Supplier Quality responsibilities
  • Define and monitor supplier quality performance KPIs (DMR, DPPM, CONC)
  • Manage supplier quality audits
  • Review and evaluate supplier quality data to follow CAPA actions while identifying improvement opportunities and launch improvement projects when needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronics or relevant field
  • Solid experience in supplier quality in the electrical sector
  • Experience with people management

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, project management and communication skills
  • Highly motivated to develop the team in the dynamic environment and support personal development of the team members
  • Strong knowledge of Supplier Quality Management processes
  • Fluency in Finnish and English
