Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shipping Coordinator. At our Worcester, MA we focus in the Electrical Sector when it comes to Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure to multiple segments, so of those being Utilties, Hospitals, Data Centers, and Commercial Institutions. The Shipping Coordinator role will over full time 40 hour work week, Medical Benefits, 401K, vacation, and opportunity for upward mobility. Schedule will be 7:30am-4:00pm and Monday-Friday.

The hourly rate for this position is $18-$30 per hour.

What you'll do:

Coordinate and select carrier on outbound shipments for multiple modes of transportation using Eaton approved tools and negotiated carriers. Work with EATON global supply chain team to arrange ocean shipping and complete all required documentation. Support the coordinates and execution of the required transactions and notifications for orders in the stocking program for all warehouse shipments both internally and externally. Provides transportation/specialized service quotations utilizing carrier online systems and other tools within the supply chain access. Transacts outbound shipments. Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions. Requires cross function collaboration to resolve internal issues, delivery issues and transportation information. Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S.

In this function you will:
• Calculate/schedule outbound shipments using appropriate mode of transportation - FTL - LTL - small parcel
• Daily outbound transactions.
• Support/calculate freight quotes as required.
• Obtain transportation costs.
• Accurate management of transactions.
• Track shipments.
• Assist in final mile delivery as needed.
• Assist team in achieving plant and department goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:
• 3-year supply chain and logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experienced with Microsoft tools.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (60-mile radius) will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate degree with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management.
• Previous experience in logistics.
• Knowledge of Outlook, Lotus Notes, AS400 MRP, Excel Pivot Tables
• Operate various types of equipment to transport material throughout the facility and including the loading and unloading of trucks.

Skills:

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to integrate facts quickly and facilitate resolution.
• Ability to read and follow standard work.
• Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels.
