Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Shipping Coordinator.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. The hours for first shift are as follows; 5:30 am - 2:00 pm.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Follow customer specifications and utilize customer portals to prepare for shipping material. Invoice order once material is packed and ready for pick up. Schedule appropriate carriers to pick up shipments. Ship product per promised date as material is available. Communicate with logistics, supply chain, and customer service team members about issues with shipping out orders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ship out required lines based on promised dates using shipping reports provided by the supply chain team
  • Ensure that orders have correct paperwork and meet all shipping requirements (lines, pack sheets, source inspection, etc.)
  • Access & interpret information using ERP system and customer portals to process parts
  • Invoicing and documenting tracking numbers
  • Ship international and government orders
  • Print labels & package parts to customer specifications
  • Communicate with customer service, internal customers, and supply chain team via email to prioritize urgent items and issues with delayed shipments (missing parts, items unable to locate on customer portals, etc.)
  • Communicate with quality inspection and production leads to know where orders are in production line process and communicate with supply chain leadership if it will realistically ship on time.
  • Coordinate shipment pick up through different carrier such as FedEx, UPS, DHL & etc. and assist in loading shipments on trucks.
  • Identify shipping and packaging materials needed and communicated with logistics supervisor/lead to order
  • Certification licenses to operate a fork truck and cherry picker
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of area through daily 5S+

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for ongoing basis without company sponsorship for visa
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Irvine area (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of shipping and processing experience preferred
  • Must have computer skills that include Microsoft Office, email and keyboard typing.

Physical Demands:
• Requires frequent lifting, bending and operation of mechanical equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis
• Must be able to use both hands constantly and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours a day
• Must be able to read and write English
