Eaton's Information Technology Center is hiring a Senior Specialist IT Solution Architect (Order Management) in Pune, India.
What you'll do:
As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for understanding requirements / problem statements specific to the Order Management Capability and build solution architectures which meet those requirements. Understand various enterprise/strategic applications, security policies /standards defined in Eaton, apply architecture best practices to craft an architecture that is Secure, scalable, cost effective, performance efficient, reusable and resilient. You will drive and/or take part in technical solutions discussions, present your architectures along with supporting artifacts to council of enterprise architects, business, cyber security team and other stakeholders to get their feedback and accommodate it in your architecture.

You will help the business in evaluating technical capabilities of SaaS applications in the market which could potentially meet business requirements, rate, recommend preferred SaaS application and develop architecture to onboard it, integrate it with other Eaton on premises/ cloud hosted/ SaaS applications as applicable.
You will provide architectures to integrate existing Eaton applications to meet a specific business need.
Where SaaS application is not an option, you will provide architectures to develop applications internally with a cloud first mindset. You are further responsible for working with the development teams and providing design oversight and guidance at varying levels during project execution. Finally, the solutions architect is charged with ensuring solutions are in support of strategic goals for the company - both business and IT.
- Design solutions that meet customer and stakeholder needs
- Create Dataflow and BPMN Process mappings.
- Assure the feasibility and sustainability of designed solutions
- Design and evolve technical solutions that support current and future needs
- Manage nonfunctional requirements and compliance
- Define and prioritize enablers including exploration work and technical debt reduction
- Enable continuous integration and continuous delivery that enables immediate feedback and adjustment
- Maintain architectural runways for a series of products within a Value Stream
- Manage, track, evaluate technical capability across Value Stream to facitate the selection and alignment of a technical solution following enterprise guardrails. Execute POCs where applicable.
- Responsible for ensuring design meets Eaton's standards and requirements
- Partner with other Architects to evaluate capabilities and features to expand the use of an existing application to meet additional business requirements.
- Build ArchiMate diagrams to depict architectures.
- Assist the product teams with completing annual architecture maturity assessments
-Collaborate and drive synergies between enterprise architect, system architect, and product owners.
- Partner with cyber security on architecture guidelines for specific types of disaster recovery
- Work closely with product owners to develop and align their roadmaps, ensuring that the sequencing of end-to-end rollouts are logical and efficient.
Qualifications:
B.S. degree from an accredited insitiution is required.
8+ years of experience in the software industry with a proven track record of shipping high quality products
Skills:
- Extensive experience utilizing best practices in software engineering
- Experience with SAP and Oracle systems and their associated development languages and platforms
- Extensive experience developing secure, enterprise grade, highly scalable, highly performant applications and/or distributed systems
- Expert level understanding of software design principles, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts
- Solid understanding of DevSecOps, CI, and CD principles from code check-in through to deployment
- Extensive experience with modern software development principles including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, and cloud services.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as encryption, hashing, certificates, PKIs, Threat Modeling, secure coding, and OWASP.
- Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban
- In depth knowledge of order management processes within an ERP is required. This will include but not be limited to: contract mgmt., order capture, invoicing, returns, pricing and revenue recognition.
- Good knowledge of upstream processes including but not limited to: opportunities, CPQ, customer experience, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present concepts to all levels within the organizations
- Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work colaboratively on a technical team
- Patience and empathy when working with architects, developers, and testers
- Experience working with diverse, global cultures, organizations and teams
- Proven ability to work in a self-directed manner
- The ability to translate business issues/requirements and objectives into technical solutions
