What you'll do:
1. Lead PPAP activities and critical projects for flawless and on time completion of production part approval process
2. Facilitate common understanding between PPAP team and stake holders for requirements and ensure on time and accurate task completion
3. Drive supplier Training program to meet supplier performance expectation per Eaton Supplier Excellence Manual (SEM).
4. support the suppliers in the deployment of quality systems tools and techniques such as 8D problem solving, Process Capability Study, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, PPAP.
5. Apply strategic thought process for expansion of the process to all Business plants and ensure standardization across process and plants.
6. Drive best practice assessment and deployment across plants and business groups

7. Encourage & implement Continuous Improvement culture within team & at supplier end.
8.Trouble shoot flawless problem closures in coordination with internal and global stake holders.
9. Facilitate publishing & communicating progress against GSCCoE goals and facilitate improvements.
10. Work as strategic liaison between suppliers and internal functions/plants (Engineering, Plants, Operations, etc.) to clarify Eaton business requirements, and improve definition of requirements.
11.Understand customer requirement and quick turnaround time on special project requests.
12.Coordinates and assists with corporate initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across Eaton sites
13. Drives deployment of consistent supplier quality related policies, processes, and procedures
14. Drive data driven problem solving to enhance strategic business growth for deliverables and Profit planning
15.Lead various improvement projects and act as SPOC for Group, customers & Suppliers
16. Implements measures to improve inspection methods, equipment/tool performance, product quality, efficiency and morale.
17. Support on developing and deploying multi year strategic roadmap for Depth and Breadth of PPAP support expansion
18. Exercise Digital efforts to explore data driven analysis and solutions along with new Technology exploration
19. Identifies shortcomings of current processes and brings sustainable systematic solutions to improve efficiency and business value Responsible to support, control and enable Supplier Development activities for flawless, efficient and on time compilation of PPAP Management Process for Eaton Business group across Globe.
To ensure deployment of Supplier Quality Systems through trainings and strategies implemented in respective suppliers process to ensure defect free PPAPs and on time project support.
Take lead in standardization, problem resolution and best practice deployment of the process to all Eaton Plants in coordination with Plant Quality teams, SDEs, Suppliers and customers through PPAP process improvements. Resolve problems related to suppliers and Eaton internal process to enable CI culture and strategic partnership with Eaton plant Quality teams. Supports and acts as Single point of contact with multiple cross functional teams to ensure timely and first time right PPAP process in all critical projects and developments
Qualifications:
BE in (Mechanical/ Production/Industrial Engineering)/Electrical /Electronics
1.Minimum 12 ~14 years of experience in core supplier quality and / or supplier development activities in mechanical and electrical and electronic domains.
2. Experience in working with global customers & suppliers.
3. Hands on experience in part development , supplier assessment and problem solving
Skills:
1. Working Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Sheet Metal / Molding /Machining/ Casting/Forging/Welding/ Electrical & Electronics
2. Working knowledge of statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R and capability analysis, Rate readiness
3. Deep understanding of special processes, CQI requirements, Eaton supplier Excellence Manual and PPAP , PFMEA , Control plan
4. Competent in problem solving, working in team environment, strategic planning and decision making
5. Should possess deep knowledge of APQP,DSFR, ESSP, DMR,Change Management and have experience in conducting problem solving / taking actions from suppliers
6. strong business accumen for dealing with cross functional domains viz. supplier quality, supply management, Design Engineering, Program management and suppliers along with internal and external customers
7.Certified Six Sigma green Belt would be advantage
8.Certified Quality professional/Manager of Quality from ASQ equivalent body would be an added advantage
