What you'll do:

  • Manage the purchasing of assigned Indirect commodities to ensure an uninterrupted and timely supply at optimum cost and quality.
  • Purchasing support for the indirect material (Capital/MRO/Packaging) and service (PS/IT/Facilities).
  • This position support Indirect Procurement Manager to execute business unit's requirements and participates in the selection and relationship building with key suppliers to leverage Eaton's purchases and reduce costs across all relevant business units.
  • Align and deploy effective strategies for Corporate Indirect Procurement, with accountability to positively impact associated annual commodity spend, cost out and cost avoidance. This will be demonstrated with appropriate metrics - achieved in close collaboration with each site, increasing leverage across a rationalized set of preferred supplier partners, particularly with high-Indirect consuming business units.
  • Create a rationalized supply base that covers a majority of spend and that is managed at a senior management level in both organizations.
  • Communicate and collaborate among related function teams to effectively resolve purchasing issues and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Regional Category Manager to deploy and implement category strategy and support key cross manufactory initiatives and programs.
  • Continue to optimize the indirect purchasing process and supplier base to support business unit's performance, facilitate the purchasing process, deliver better performance and productivity.
  • Coach and build a pipeline of high performing, diverse team and build team's capabilities that apply their skills and different perspectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Above 10 years purchasing related work experience.
  • Procurement of indirect/direct Category & Commodities for Eaton through bidding, benchmarking, and negotiation.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to achieve assigned special projects and initiative outcomes.
  • Supplier base development and optimization, prequalification and management to ensure cost-effective supply with consistent quality and acceptable service & delivery levels.
  • Understands technical specifications, product performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and end user expectations.
  • Responsible for monthly reports regarding indirect procurement activities
  • Coordinate with all levels of Eaton businesses and external suppliers whilst maintain excellent stakeholder relationships.
  • Digitalization platform and tools application to drive better performance and productivity.
  • Have understanding of the business needs at a sub-regional level.
  • In compliance with Eaton procurement policy and T&Cs; Monitors and reports Operations' compliance to service agreements and strategy
  • Keep efficient communication with user department and SCM interfaces.
  • Builds team's capabilities.
  • Digitalization mindset (ESSP, GPS, SAP,DocuSign-CLM, Costverse)
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Strategic thinker and conflict resolution
