Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician. The core hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $24.75 per hour.

What you'll do:

This position is responsible for the processing quality department documentation, updating and maintaining data, gauge calibration, and conducting studies and testing as requested. The incumbent will support all Quality goals, especially scrap reduction efforts.

  • Apply corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis and control of nonconforming material
  • Use software to complete detailed, accurate measurements of calibrated gages
  • Review and file raw material certificates of analysis and maintain the SAP system for incoming raw material acceptance
  • Assist with all aspects of PPAP's including capability studies, GR&R's, data analysis, and all other documentation
  • Assist with Quality Lab testing as needed. Collect and ship raw material samples as needed. Conduct process audits as assigned. Complete electrical testing
  • Quarantine non-conforming material and create non-conforming material tag
  • Create quality notifications in SAP
  • Track closure of quality holds in SAP
  • Use various measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, micro-vue and CMM.
  • Help with training of Quality employees and operators as needed
  • Keep work areas clean
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with computers and Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience using various measuring tools such as gages, calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applications must be US persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of LaGrange, NC (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ISO audits
  • Certification as a Quality Technician through ASQ or similar institution

Position Criteria:

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical & electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent math skills, conversions from English to metric and decimals to fractions on part specifications
