Eaton's EPG CHD ALP Airport Lighting Products division is currently seeking a Quality Technician. The core hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $ 24.38 per hour.

What you'll do:
The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards and specifications. This role involves conducting inspections, testing products, and documenting results to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Perform regular inspections and tests on products and materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases.
- Perform and verify First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Identify and report any quality issues or defects to the site Quality Manager and/or Lead.
- Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues.
- Program and operate coordinate measuring machines and or specialized inspection equipment.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Perform control and process audits as scheduled.
- Create Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issues.
- Perform and assist in investigations into non-conforming product with the use of measuring equipment where required.
- Contribute to pre-production quality planning, including developing Quality Assembly documents, attending product and process reviews, and providing technical training to production personnel.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of LOCATION (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
- Experience as a Quality Technician or in a similar role.
- Experience with quality control standards and testing techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certification in quality control or a related field.
- Knowledge of gauging and inspection techniques
- Proficient in using quality testing equipment and software.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment working in a quality role.
- Experience testing electrical equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting problems using quality tools such as statistics, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone diagrams, etc.
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician
- Qualified Electrical Worker

- Ability to prepare, read, analyze, and interpret product drawings, manufacturing documents, quality specs, and standards.
- Proficient in using quality testing equipment and software.
- Working knowledge of ASQ and ISO auditing standards
Additional Information:
Expected to work with some degree of independence and make decisions that affect the workgroup. Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting needs and expectations of internal and external customers.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift a minimum of 35lbs with reasonable accommodation. Incumbent must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to noise and occasionally exposed to dust.
