Eaton's Energy Automation Solutions division is currently seeking a QA Lead Developer. This position is located at our office in Brossard, Quebec. This role offers hybrid work opportunities, as well as benefits from day one. Candidates must reside within 80km of Brossard, Québec, Canada.

CYME International T&D is a world-class Power Engineering Solutions provider with an established reputation for customer responsiveness and technical expertise. Our solutions stand behind thousands of T&D projects in over 100 countries around the world. As part of a multidisciplinary development team, the Lead QA Developer will participate in the testing, the quality control and the automation of test scripts for the software and high technology projects in the field of analysis and modeling of electricity distribution networks and renewable energies.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensures software meets high standards before release
  • Sets standards, assigns tasks, and inspires the team
  • Mentors the team throughout the development lifecycle
  • Innovates and enhances quality processes
  • Collaborates with engineers and project managers in an agile environment
  • Creates and executes automated tests
  • Defines and reviews project quality standards
  • Schedules and manages different testing cycle phases
  • Oversees test planning, execution, and issue tracking

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's studies in engineering, computer science or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in test automation and applying software testing techniques
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in programming (C++/C#, Java and/or Python).
  • Experience on tests automation tools for Desktop, Web applications or Web services (e.g. Cypress, Selenium, Test Complete, SOAPUI, Postman)
  • Experience with Git, GitHub and CI/CD
  • Fluency in French, English, (working proficiency). Fluency in French and English is required for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, customers, and partners located inside and outside of Quebec, as well as to understand technical documentation in the field of our industry.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future
  • Candidates must reside within 80Km of the Brossard facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading an engineering team
  • Studies of Software Quality Assurance or certifications in software testing
  • Experience in performance testing and tools (e.g. JMeter)
  • Knowledge in power system engineering
