This position can be supported remotely for candidates currently residing within 200 miles of Houston, Texas. This role will have ~ 40% travel within North America (US, Canada, Mexico).

Position Overview:
The Product Sales Manager role is part of the ITD Americas sales organization, responsible for an
assigned territory and set of customers in the industrial and transportation markets. The role reports to the Industrial Sales Manager of ITD Americas.
Key functions of this role include establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships and leading growth opportunities through the stages of the selling cycle and applying value selling with particular emphasis on developing winning capture strategies and managing and monitoring manufacturer sales representative's activity in the assigned territory.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
• Take ownership of the assigned sales territory by achieving profitable sales and booking goals as well as targeted price increases.
• Develop and maintain sound customer relationships, uncover sales opportunities, and build a solid pipeline.
• Leverage extended resources to identify and execute new sales opportunities.
• Supervise business activity from all sales channels in the territory including manufacturer sales representatives, to ensure Eaton is doing its best effort.
• Visit distribution branch locations and conducts training with manufacturer sales representative's assistance as applicable.
• Develops lead generation programs in conjunction with product launches.
• Working with the Product Manager and Finance resources to develop opportunity business cases.
• Lead contractual and pricing negotiations with the support of the contracts and pricing teams.
• Understand and effectively communicate customer needs within the sales, product management, and engineering organizations.
• Understand current product value proposition and future application requirements for the portfolio.
• Support the strategic planning process by maintaining thorough knowledge of the product portfolio including new technology needs and competitor positions.
• Support the demand aspect of the SIOP process and be an active participant in all necessary phases of the process including Profit Plan top line review.
• Own sales forecast, provides comprehensive reporting, and oversees booking levels.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree Marketing, Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of seven (5-7) years of business development, program management, marketing, sales or application engineering experience in the harsh Industrial Sector ( Construction, Agriculture, Metal/Machining, Rail, Telecom).
• Experience selling Industrial solutions for OEM applications.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Significant technical electrical/mechanical knowledge to communicate/sell to Engineers.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must currently reside within 200 miles of Houston, Texas.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous sales experience in electro/mechanical passive market.
• Previous in electrical connectors.
• Previous experience strategically growing sales Industrial product lines.
• Demonstrated outstanding leadership skills that can drive teams to outperformance.
• Possess significant initiative and ability to develop, implement, and achieve ambitious goals.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills, writing skills and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others at all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus.
