What you'll do:
As Product Manager you will be responsible for managing our Controller and Software offering in Connected Energy Management domain throughout the entire product life cycle and for all product relevant issues (features, cost, footprint, price positioning) in EMEA region. You will define and pursue relevant business goals in support of Eaton's strategic direction and energy transition growth initiatives. Furthermore, you are responsible for end-to-end profitability and for acting as the technical expert for the relevant product portfolio of Connected Energy Management Devices and related accessories. We are considering candidates from Hungary, Czechia, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the Nordics too who can be based in local Eaton sites.

Responsibilities:
- Execute product strategy and define product roadmap for the Connected Energy Management Controllers and Software offering.
- Understand and identify customer needs and EMEA competitive environment as well as market trends of products and applications.
- Drive new product development jointly with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality and Business Development functions.
- Manage communication around commercial, product, application and market aspects to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance of relevant products with standards, cybersecurity requirements, and Intellectual Property policies and approve final documentation
- Act as Level 3 Technical Support
- Act as a SCRUM Team Product Owner - lead and direct a cross functional project team toward fulfilment of technical & commercial product development targets.
- Driving resolution of product quality issues and supporting supply chain and logistics product topics.
- Maintain existing products and supporting new product market launch (marketing material, catalogue maintenance, product data management,
- Manage product obsolescence and market phase-out activities.
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field). An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the IoT, smart home, power distribution or related technology sectors.
- Knowledge of power distribution systems and components, including DIN rail mounted devices (circuit breakers, relays, contactors), metering equipment, and control components.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- Knowledge of consumer and building communication protocols (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-Wave, MQTT, KNX, Modbus TCP, and Matter)
- Demonstrated understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices. Experience working with UX designers and researchers.
- Ability to translate user needs into compelling user experiences. Experience with design thinking methodologies.
- Strong understanding of interoperability principles and best practices. Experience with API design and integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and mobile app development (iOS and Android).
- Experience with specific home automation platforms or ecosystems (e.g., Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit).
- Knowledge of energy-related regulations and standards.
- Experience with electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards and regulations.
