Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Operations Manager - Hyperscale. The position will be based at our Sumter, SC facility and does offer relocation assistance within the U.S.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120,075 - $176,110 a year. This position is also eligible for a bonus incentive program.

What you'll do:

The primary function of the Hyperscale Operations Manager is to develop strategic direction and lead key manufacturing processes to ensure production objectives are met according to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. The Hyperscale data center business is rapidly growing, and the Operations Manager will ensure effective planning and execution for the growth business. The Operations Manager supports the operation's strategic plan by providing specific product designs into finished products that meet customer order requirements, product quality standards, and product delivery commitments.

In this function you will:
• Lead the Hyperscale Switchboard value-stream performance to achieve Eaton and Customer's operational performance objectives.
• Hire, lead, and develop the Switchboard Operations leaders to achieve their career objectives and site operational results - from Supervisors, Team Leads, Coordinators, and Operators.
• Develop and deploy strategic initiatives to drive consistent and continuously improving operational results - across safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity
• Own the Switchboard value-stream performance by partnering with, guiding, and leveraging functional support teams - such as Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.
• Measure, drive actions, and report Switchboard operational performance in Operations Reviews, Staff Meetings, and Daily Tier accountability meetings.
• Ensure operational resiliency and flexibility by coordinating cross-training activities, skill development programs, labor productivity, and manufacturing capacities.
• Deploy Environmental Health and Safety initiatives to support a Zero Incident Culture
• Consistently attain and exceed financial objectives, including sales attainment, profitability, absorption, work in process inventories, and labor productivity.
• Guide SIOP (Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning) Supply planning - balancing labor, machine, and material capacities to optimize lead times, on-time delivery, inventory, and productivity.
• Lead & implement Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) tools.
• Develop and maintain a trained, quality-centered manufacturing workforce.
• Drive workforce engagement, positive employee relations, and create a high-performance work force in Switchboard Operations.
• Foster a culture that promotes the Eaton Quality System and Eaton Leadership Model
• Drive value stream approach throughout the switchboard operations, working collaboratively and cross-functionally to get results through others inside and outside the organization.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a manager or leader of people
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with hyperscale data center industry as a manager
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting engineered-to-order products
• Continuous Improvement and/or Supply Chain Certifications - For example Lean Six Sigma, Lean Tool Certifications, CPIM
• Leadership experience in a high-performance culture and metrics driven environment
• Experience in Operations, CI, and Supply Chain (Master Scheduling, Materials)

Skills:

POSITION CRITERIA:

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
• Strong communication, organizational and computer skills
• Effective interpersonal skills to resolve conflict, develop employees and facilitate corrective action while fostering an environment that supports Eaton values & philosophy.
