What you'll do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Benefits, HR Business Partners (HRBP), Payroll, Legal, Talent Acquisition (TA), People Operations, and Workplace Experience (WE), to ensure smooth operations in Japan.
- Work with the Japan leadership team to assist with prioritization of staffing needs.
- Ensure that projects adhere to statutory requirements while aligning with Atlassian's internal policies.
- Take the initiative to address employee inquiries, provide coaching, and resolve issues at the first point of contact whenever feasible.
- Assist employees and collaborate with managers to effectively manage processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and leave of absence.
- Ensure a comprehensive understanding of company policies and their updates, and deliver necessary training to employees as needed.
- Support the internal transfer process for individuals planning to relocate to Japan from other Atlassian entities.
- Provide planning assistance for social and team-building activities of Japan.
Your background
- 7+ years of administrative experience, effectively managed responsibilities in a dynamic, high-growth global environment.
- Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with leadership teams, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders is essential.
- Experience in both small and large organizations, along with a strong understanding of local regulations, is highly desirable.
- Able to independently recognize and proactively initiate the necessary actions to ensure the organization achieves compliance.
- Fluency in both Japanese and English is essential.
