Eaton's Electrical Sector Power Distribution and Control Assemblies (PDCA) business is seeking an Operations Manager to join the team at our facility in Fayetteville, NC. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates within the US or based internationally. Sponsorship is also available for the position if needed.
Our Fayetteville operation is part of a complex, high-growth, Engineered-to-Order electrical business. In this role, you will be responsible for overall leadership and management of fabrication & assemblies for two product lines: Motor Control Centers and Power Factor correction at the Fayetteville facility. You will have overall responsibility for leading production teams to execute production schedule while achieving High 5 metrics (Safety, Quality. Productivity, Inventory and on time delivery. This person will foster relationships across the business from the shop floor to feeder businesses within Eaton and others.

What you'll do:
• Manage, direct, plan and coordinate (through Value Stream Manager, Fabrication Manager and Production Supervisors) the manufacturing activities of both feeder and assembly departments to meet customer needs, plant objectives and profit plan goals
• Determine effect of production load /mix changes on plant operations. Take action(s) to adjust capacity and flex manning ensure schedules are adhered to.
• Review plant-operating practices ensuring that both production and quality standards are maintained/enhanced.
• Ensure positive working environment by driving accountability, effective communication and good decision making.
• Support a Zero Incident Safety culture within the plant and lead the team ensuring positive engagements are conducted as part of Leader Standard Work.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years experience in operations
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a manufacturing management role.
• Must be eligible to work in the US on a continual and permanent basis without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or relevant manufacturing focused discipline.
• Master's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering or Business Administration
• Experience in electrical assembly manufacturing
• Engineered-to-order/custom engineered product experience preferred.
• Experience working within best-in-class manufacturing environment in a multinational organization
• Operational Excellence / Continuous improvement certifications helpful (Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc).
Skills:
• Working knowledge of manufacturing procedures/practices including Industrial Engineering principles, production planning and Lean Manufacturing
• Experience in ISO certified manufacturing assembly environment
• Good communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customers
• Proven Leadership skills - capable of leading change initiatives and drive a high-performance culture
Quality Systems / Corporate Programs:
Ensure compliance where applicable with systems and /or programs such as, but not limited to ISO 9000-2000, ISO 14001, Underwriters Laboratory, NEMA, etc...Participate in and demonstrate understanding of other programs such as Eaton Business System (EBS), Management of Environmental, Safety, & Health (MESH), EQS, EBE, etc.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $141000.03 - $206800.04 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
