Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Materials Clerk (MRO Crib) - 1st Shift. This position is based at our Indianapolis, IN location.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.

Position Overview:

The purchasing / material clerk is responsible for procuring MRO items, maintaining accurate stocking levels of goods to support the warehouse operations along with supporting the Materials department with various tasks related to reporting and KPI updates.

What you'll do:

• Process purchase requisitions and monitors orders, ensuring suppliers deliver goods on time.

• Maintain inventory levels of materials and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Check in, collaborate, and communicate with MRO vendors for all deliveries.
• Gather information and prepares daily updates and ad-hoc reports (KPI reports, supplies /material availability, open order book, unconfirmed / past due, etc.)
• Work closely with maintenance and warehouse managers to understand their needs and ensure the availability of necessary materials.
• Address various internal and external customer questions and concerns regarding shipments, billing, status, services, carriers, and other needs.
• Gather information and prepares daily updates and ad-hoc reports (KPI reports, supplies delivery performance, open order book, past due, etc.)
• Track orders and shipments and assist with tracing as needed.
• Follow written and oral instructions. Adhere to all company policies and procedures including good housekeeping.
• Maintain quality workmanship, observe safety procedures, report unsafe acts, and perform work of equal of lower classification if necessary.
• Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain).
• Capable of managing multiple tasks without losing efficiency or productivity
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic knowledge of WMS and inventory management systems.
• Basic to Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders and inventory records.
• Capable to manage multiple task and maintaining detailed records.
• Clear and concise communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal teams effectively.
• Relocation is not provided. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN will be considered.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Oracle ERP/WMS experience
• 3 years' experience in materials / purchasing environment.
• Good organizational and time management skills
