Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Machine Operator. At our Youngsville, NC location they engineer, manufacturer, and ship prodcuts related to electrical power distribution to 6 different segments. Some of those include Utilties, Institutions, Aerospace, and Residential. The Machine Operator role offers a 40-hour paid work week with hours being 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday. With full time employment you are offered Benefits (Medical, Dental, & Vision), 401K percent match plan, and vacation.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.75 per hour.

What you'll do:

The Machine Operator will perform basic duties of wiring harnesses.

In this position you will:


  • Selecting fitting size, and/or assembly operations.
  • Performing quality inspections (following control plans, reaction charts, SPC charts, etc.).
  • Puly continuity testing, gauge checks, machine set-ups, basic troubleshooting, manual handling of material and 5S activities.
  • Sorting/inspection of suspect material, processing rework, and, assisting other product lines
  • Performing other duties, as assigned by Supervisor or Group Leader.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic):

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a mechanical trade role or harness experience
  • Must be able to solder or attend training for soldering harnesses
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred:

  • Previous harness assembly experience
  • Basic working knowledge and experience with computers

Skills

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Follow the instructions for mechanical, electrical, and other safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
