What you'll do:
This position will coordinate several Direct Material projects, including New Products Developments, VAVE and Resourcing projects for Eaton products as Transmissions, Clutches, etc, from the design phase to production to meet all program timing, cost, scope, quality requirements and successfully launch the projects. Scope falls under Mobility Group South America, including 4 Eaton sites in Brazil. Candidate will interact with several internal and external stakeholders as Procurement, Materials, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Supplier Development Engineering, Finance, external Suppliers, among others.

- Lead and communicate program needs (new items to be developed, capacity increase for current items, new technologies required, etc) to category managers to provide pricing and capacity analysis on NPI, VAVE and Resourcing programs according to PROLaunch deliverables;
- Manage deliverables of SCM team members for Mobility Group South America product launches to ensure proper execution of changes and launches;
- Facilitate scheduling and business unit involvement in Sourcing Councils for the projects;
- Represent SCM function in APQP activities for all new product launches;
- Coordinate with category teams to ensure strategies align with strategic and profit plans.;
- Coordinate with SDE's (Supplier Development Engineers) development of new purchased items (APQP, PPAP, etc)
- Represent and lead SCM function in PROLaunch and DGC gate reviews;
- Constant interface with global Category Managers and suppliers from different regions and time zones;
- Coordinate the exchange of technical information regarding product and product processing with adequate safeguards for confidentiality;
- Problem solve and deal effectively with conflicts and roadblocks, escalating as required;
- Actively participate in teams working towards continuous process improvements, elimination of waste, and advance product quality planning;
- Lead phase out, resourcing and cost out projects involving all the necessary functions to achieve projects goals.
Qualifications:
- Completed degree in engineering, administration or related fields
- Experience in SCM (Purchasing, Supplier Development, Material Planning) and project management
- Automotive industry experience
- Advanced English (writing, reading, speaking)
- Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- PMI/PMP certification desirable
- APQP knowledge (desirable)
- Technical knowledge of categories such as aluminum and iron castings, stampings, bearings, among others desirable
