PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Eaton's Corporation at Santo Domingo, is currently seeking a Lead Industrialization Engineer to join our team. Looking for talented candidates focus the following aspects:
The Lead Industrialization Engineer role will lead manufacturing and industrialization activities for new product introduction (NPI) projects through all stages of development into release for production. This position will lead the development and implementation of robust manufacturing processes, as well as the associated documentation, to ensure the successful launch of new and/or improved products and processes. It will also provide technical design support for existing products, collaborate with other functions and suppliers to facilitate efficient industrialization and to drive schedule performance while meeting safety, quality, and cost expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Lead product and process design, development, validation, and documentation for new product introduction (NPI) and product line support (PLS) projects.
2. Provide technical inputs of design decisions and products changes to facilitate manufacturing, reduce cost, substitute material, improve quality and accommodate special customer needs.
3. Drive the implementation of Industry 4.0 for NPI projects.
4. Lead the development and procurement of prototype and production tooling, fixtures, & equipment.
5. Ensure Design for Manufacturability through collaboration with the cross-functional product line team.
6. Lead prototype builds through developing pilot production lines and associated processes.
7. Validate product and process design meets requirements and expected performance, support troubleshooting and yield issues.
8. Develop and implement process controls, work instructions, and standard work, and provide relevant training to plant personnel.
9. Drive production readiness at the plant across all functions, including production validation and issue resolution.
10. Collect and analyze early product and process performance data, using applicable Design for Six Sigma, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing approaches.
11. Manage product cost and capital expense forecasts for NPI and PLS projects.
12. Develop and mentor team members and peers.
13. Support cost reduction initiatives and Continuous Improvement programs.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electric, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic) .
• Minimum of five years of engineering experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Experience in manufacturing or plant operations.
• Technical knowledge of electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
• Working knowledge of part/assembly drawings and bills of materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in new product development and industrialization.
• Experience with production tooling and assembly/test fixture development.
• Working knowledge of basic quality tools, such as, capability studies and gage R&Rs.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, VA/VE, and LEAN manufacturing tools.
• Experience with shop floor control processes and technology (barcoding, product/process traceability).
• Working knowledge of core feeder processes (molding, stamping, turning, machining, brazing/welding).
• Experience working with Industry 4.0 technologies.
