Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Junior Materials Planner.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.

What you'll do:

Position Summary:

Plan, process, and request manufacturing information utilizing computer generated data reports. Schedule and release production orders within assigned areas. Assist in the control of inventory and maintain required levels of WIP. Work closely with production on inventory levels and escalate to purchasing when required. Ensure all shortages for area(s) of responsibility are known to include latest promise date for each shortage and close follow through until shortage is installed. Update and maintain the Master Production Schedule for area(s) of responsibility. Daily COGI reconciliation and work order processing required. RGID orders based on material and capacity availability.

Job Description:

• Monitor delivery of parts (tanks, cores, others) to ensure flow of materials to meet production schedule.
• Evaluate purchase orders, monitor materials, estimate equipment downtime, and know labor requirements to maintain production schedules.
• Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages.
• Analyze reports and creatively find alternatives to material shortages that affect the production plan.
• Interact with Purchasing and Production to determine completion dates for past due production orders and process the RGID in SAP.
• Promptly addressing production issues to minimize delays in production.
• Coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure production schedules are achieved.
• Review and or make changes to the production schedules to ensure that production deadlines (OTP) are met.
• Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to the current production schedules.
• Monitor the Dispatch Report daily to ensure confirmation accuracy and that production orders are completed by the assigned scheduled finish dates.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience
  • 1 year supply chain experience
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
