Role Overview:
Join our Customer Experience organization at Eaton as a Junior BI Data Analyst. In this role, you'll work in our Business Intelligence and Analytics team to provide insights that inform strategic decisions. As a Junior BI Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work with industry-leading tools and learn from experienced data professionals. You'll primarily focus on using Power BI, Excel, and SQL to analyze data and build visualizations that support our business goals. Your direct manager is the BI & Automation Managerbased in Budapest, Hungary as well. Join our diverse and inclusive team of over 7 professionals.
What you'll do:
- Design and create interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize data effectively.
- Maintain data quality by working with relational databases and performing data cleansing.
- Conduct data analysis and uncover trends, patterns, and insights to support decision-making.
- Utilize Excel and Power Query for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Write basic SQL queries to extract, analyze, and interpret data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.
- Present data insights and recommendations in a clear and impactful way, catering to different levels of technical understanding.
- Support the streamlining of data workflows and automation of reporting processes to improve efficiency and data reliability across projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Skills:
- 0-2 years of experience in a data-related role, preferably as a Data Analyst or BI Analyst.
- Good English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Power BI or similar BI tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and visualization.
- Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, R, VBA or similar) for data manipulation.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
Big Plus if you have:
- Knowledge of the Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, or Cloudera).
- Proficiency in Power Query for data transformation and integration.
- Comprehensive SharePoint knowledge about List management and Document libraries
