Inventory Specialist

Eaton's CPDI PDI division is currently seeking a Inventory Specialist. The Richmond, VA site specifically focuses in on cirtical power distibution for multiple segments; those including Utitlites, Data Centers, Hospitality, and Commercial Instiutions. The Inventory Specialist offers a 40-hour paid week with hours being from 7:00am-3:30pm, full benefits, and 401K match plan.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.88 per hour.

What you'll do:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for Support management as needed to accomplish Eaton's overall objectives of providing on-time delivery of quality products. Support and initiate actions with management to ensure that personnel comply to the company's policies and performance/productivity levels.

In this function you will:

• Be responsible for root cause analysis on troubled inventory
• Ability to find lost inventory items
• Ability to understand inputs and outputs of inventory systems
• Ability perform cycle counting as needed
• Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision
• Ability to coordinate with team lead, inventory workers, and material handlers to solve various issues.
• Ability to effective use ERP systems and basic Microsoft applications (excel)
• Ability to work cross functional across plants
• Ability to operate forklift and electrical pallet jack as needed.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic):

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future
• No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Richmond, VA location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred:

• 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
• Prior experience with Microsoft applications

Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs and charts.
  • Deal with a wide variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Inspire, motivate and influence diverse global teams
  • Lead and work in cross-functional multi-cultural teams
  • May be required to sit, stand and walk regularly, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull.

  • Have the visual acuity to perform essential job functions
