Job summary

Responsible for the overall management of the Fabrication area, tasked with leading the team to achieve the area's objectives and metrics in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost. Additionally, this role requires coordination with all functional and service groups to meet customer needs. It also involves driving team performance to meet or exceed financial plans and strategic objectives, while motivating staff to foster a high-performance culture. This position has responsability to promote the safety, quality and continuous improvement (CIF) culture, throughout Eaton Business System (EBS).

Job responsibilities

• Production planning review and attainment.
• Coordinate daily production.
• Prepare and send production daily report.
• Coordinate, leverage, and utilize appropriately resources to resolve safety, quality and manufacturing situations in order to improve processes and meet external and internal customer demands.
• Provide and implement training that will enable personnel to better performance.
• Coordinate and administer employees: HR incidents (attendance, punctuality, overtime, vacations, and permissions).
• Act as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Eaton Business Systems (EBS) processes and problem solving tools such as ELSS (Eaton Lean Sis Sigma), Operational Assessment (OPA) and 5S+.
• Coordinate with Human Resources in the selection, promotion, counseling, lay off and termination of employees using Eaton guidelines and policies.
• Monitor machinery, equipment and facility and initiate maintenance work orders as required, to ensure efficiency, safe and ergonomic conditions in the area.
• Implement, promote and maintain a safe and ergonomic work environment by implementing a culture of zero accidents. Investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and manage risk and hazards in your own area.
• Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

Qualifications:

Education level required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required

Years and area of experience required

  • 3 years experience minimum in a related manufacturing or engineering environment
  • 3 years of experience leading others

Technical knowledge

• Knowledge of fabrication process: Stamping, Die cut and punching.
• Proven working experience within Operations, Lean and Continuous Improvement activities.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem solving tools and methods (ELSS, 8D, PDCA, etc.)
• Understanding of the business, its overall processes, BOM, Routings, Specifications.
• English Intermediate
• Proficient in MS Office
• Yellow Belt, preferably
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP system"
