Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Front Line Leader - Assembly.

What you'll do:

Responsible for the overall management of the Assembly area, tasked with leading the team to achieve the area's objectives and metrics in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost. Additionally, this role requires coordination with all functional and service groups to meet customer needs. It also involves driving team performance to meet or exceed financial plans and strategic objectives, while motivating staff to foster a high-performance culture. This position has responsability to promote the safety, quality and continuous improvement (CIF) culture, throughout Eaton Business System (EBS).

- Coordinate daily production.
- Prepare and send the daily production report.
- Coordinate, leverage, and appropriately utilize resources to resolve safety, quality, and manufacturing issues to improve processes and meet the demands of external and internal customers.
- Provide and implement training that enables staff to improve their performance.
- Coordinate and manage employees: human resources incidents (attendance, punctuality, overtime, vacations, and leaves).
- Act as a business partner by initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring, and evaluating continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements using the appropriate problem-solving processes and tools from the Eaton Business System (EBS), such as ELSS (Eaton Lean Six Sigma), Operational Assessment (OPA), and 5S+.
- Coordinate with Human Resources in the selection, promotion, counseling, dismissal, and termination of employees using Eaton's guidelines and policies.
- Implement, promote, and maintain a safe and ergonomic work environment by fostering a zero-accident culture. Conduct equipment maintenance and standards application. Identify, control, and manage risks and hazards in your own area.
- Motivate and train employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality by effectively utilizing available reward and recognition channels to foster and promote desired behaviors and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • 3 years of experience in supervising assembly operations and/or other operational areas.
  • 3 years of experience supervising a work team.

Skills:

- Experience in people management
- knowledge of assembly processes
- Proven experience in operations and continuous improvement
- Solid analytical experience in problem-solving and problem-solving tools (ELSS, 8D, PDCA, etc.)
- Business administration, general processes, budgets, BOMs, routings, specifications.
- English Intermediate
- MS Office
- MRP/ERP systems"
