The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Eaton is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager for its Electrical Sector-Americas region in the Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) business. The FP&A Manager position will be in Pittsburgh, PA.

Position Overview:
The FP&A Manager has financial planning and reporting responsibility for the nearly $600M Electrical Engineering Services & Systems business within the Electrical Sector - Americas. Role responsibilities include forecasting, reactive and proactive analysis of results, presentation to senior leadership, coordination of internal controls and coordination of sector requests into communication, direction and guidance to the plants, marketing, and engineering teams. The role provides accounting analysis and support to both finance and non-finance personnel and is also responsible for planning and control of the business ledger with several activity centers in it including R&D, Selling, General Management and various restructuring and/or M&A actions, as needed. The FP&A manager takes a lead role in the continuous improvement process within the finance department.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the monthly closing processes for the EESS business and provides quality, timely, and accurate information for the leadership team and supporting functions.
  • Provide financial analysis and assistance to the EESS Finance Director through an in-depth understanding of company accounting policies and practices and business operations.
  • Analyze and determine cause of period-to-period changes and provide other relevant financial analysis of the business.
  • Report, analyze and verify accuracy of financials.
  • Provide information and assistance to operations within the organization regarding these financials.
  • Assume role of trainer in financial matters, policies, and procedures within the organization.
  • Lead and direct monthly closings and the forecasting process.
  • Assist with the preparation of profit plan, strategic plan, operating reviews, and reporting of financial data and analysis.
  • Provide a monthly financial reporting / forecast package directly to the SVP/GM of EESS
  • Lead and perform special projects as needed.
  • Work in team environment to drive improvement in financial processes through tools/systems, automation, and standardization.
  • Finance Transformation: Play an active role in supporting the EESS finance team through Finance Transformation activities and through the transition of responsibilities into the Controllership organization.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience in progressive finance/accounting roles.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Relocation assistance will be offered to candidates residing outside a 50 mile radius of location listed in job description

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or CPA
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry
  • Strong financial reporting, analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Must possess an in-depth understanding of the cost accounting, general accounting, and financial planning and forecasting systems.
  • Ability to manage both up and down in the organization as the position will be working with and providing guidance / support to the EESS Leadership team, plant teams, as well as working directly with the Electrical Sector - Americas finance team.

Position Criteria:
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of or quick ability to learn the company's financial policies and procedure.
• Demonstrated understanding of the workings of the balance sheet, profit and loss, and the inter-relationship between the two.
• Strong solid knowledge of accounting practices, policies, and procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of systems such as payroll, fixed assets, invoicing, order entry, cost improvement and price realization programs.
• Given the nature of the finance department, a service and support to the rest of the organization, it is important that the position possess good communication skills, multi-task management skills, and strong creative and analytical skills. Strong organizational skills are required, as well as the ability to monitor the financial process to determine that related systems and processes are operating within control.
• This position is a departmental leader position that must seek to understand all current responsibilities within the department and facilitate checks and balances for those responsibilities. As a leader must demonstrate educational ability in teaching peers.
