Eaton's ES AMER MFGSC division is currently seeking a Flex Center Team Lead.

The hourly rate for this position is $24 - $26/hr per hour.

What you'll do:

Eaton has an immediate opening for a Flex Center Team Lead in the Dallas, TX DC.

Basic Job Description:
Assist Supervisor in task (production) scheduling and assignment. Build CVJ Fixtures for the Flex Center. Support Supervisor in accumulation of productive data and subsequent analysis. Coordinate scheduling and follow-up of both on the job training and compliance with site safety regulations. Support and motivate team, encourage engagement and safe work practices.

Essential Functions:
• Assist Supervisor in day-to-day Flex Center operations.
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot CVJ Fixtures.
• Support inventory system and maintain accurate inventory.
• Monitor workload and allocate resources as required.
• Coordinate all OJT and safety training requirements.
• Assist in productivity and non-conformance data collection and analysis.
• Research answers and correct day-to-day operational problems and questions; troubleshooting to include both internal and external customer inquiries.
• Recommend new ideas and proposals supporting department metrics and initiatives.
• Provide temporary supervision as required if Supervisor is away - of limited time duration.
• Support all department quality and productivity goals and track individual goals.
• Perform work of equal or lower classifications as needed. (all Flex Center tasks)
• Observe safety policies, report unsafe acts and hazards, and maintain a clean and orderly department.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Contribute, support, and drive all 5S and continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment, assembly experience preferred.
• Must reside within a fifty-mile radius of Eaton's facility in Dallas, TX.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Ability to operate a fork truck (reach, cherry, and/or counter balance).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• One year of leadership experience.
• Associate Degree

Skills:

Position Criteria:
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift 50lbs throughout the duration of the shift.
• Strong computer skills to include WMS, SAP, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Respond to customer requests, both internal and external.
• Ability to learn on the job, adapt to changes and become proficient quickly.
• Position requires high level of concentration, close attention to details.
• Must exercise discretion and judgment.
• Ability to work well under pressure with little to no supervision.
