Eaton's new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, was completed in November 2023. The 16,500 m² site houses research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof, which will create plenty of additional jobs.
As one of the world's largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Eaton's expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton's Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

What you'll do:
We are looking for a summer trainee to join our Firmware team for 3-4 months between May 1 and September 30, 2025 (exact dates to be agreed upon based on your availability). This position offers the opportunity to work on firmware development for Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS), both for new products and for maintaining existing ones. You will be part of a Scrum team, collaborating with experienced colleagues who will guide and support you along the way.

Qualifications:
- You are studying Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Previous C/C++ development experience in embedded environment
- Structural and systematic way of working
- Good understanding of modern software development practices
- You are a great team player
- Your soft skills and clear and concise written and oral communication in English are essential
- Knowledge of power electronics would be an advantage.
