What you'll do:

Job Summary
This position is responsible for developing and implementing electrical power distribution and control projects that will range in size and complexity. The selected candidate will develop solutions for customer power distribution needs, work with the sales team to secure the project order, and then manage the project to achieve the required deadlines and financial expectations. This includes the coordination and management of both internal and external resources to deliver project expectations.

• Industrial Power System and Substation Design
• Aftermarket Equipment Modernization (Retrofits, Custom replacements)
• Electrical Power System Protection and Control
• Transmission and Distribution System Analysis
• Distributed Power Generation
• Alternative energy (Wind, Solar, Microgrid)
• PLC / HMI or relay logic based power transfer and other control schemes including Main-Tie-Main transfer schemes, load shedding/ peak shaving schemes, breaker control schemes, SCADA system development, and generator control.

Project management functions of this position include:

• Direct and manage project fulfillment from beginning to end - including a combination of self-managed projects as well as directing field project management.
• Develop and apply risk identification and management tools - that are applicable to the type and complexity of the project.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Liaise with project stakeholders (customers, consultants, contractors, sales, management) on an ongoing basis.
• Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Where required, negotiate with other offices or managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with project team members and other stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
• Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and develop contingency plans.
• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, maintenance engineering or similar technical discipline preferred
• Upper-intermediate English Language skills as it is essential to communicate with Customers in the region and factory resources in the US

• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing and/or developing complex projects within construction industry
• Experience in project development and estimating preferred
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is a plus
• Ability to effectively interact at all levels of an organization and effectively buildup value with high profile customers
• As required - develop and deliver training on energy and project management content
• Must be proficient with a PC including the Microsoft Applications and project management applications/packages (AutoCAD, MS Project and other risk management tools)

• Experience working in field service is required

• SAP knowledge is a plus
• Willingness to travel (75% of time)

• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and strong business acumen - including ability to effectively apply risk management tools/logic to various phases of a project.
