Eaton's Power Systems division is currently seeking a Facilities Engineer. This role is located out of Nacogdoches, TX. Relocation assistance will be provided.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $65,250 - $95,700 a year.

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing, managing, and improving the infrastructure and manufacturing property of the Nacogdoches facility. This includes coordinating and executing improvement projects, managing third-party contractors and vendors, handling security systems, and providing strategic improvements to ensure efficient and safe plant operations. The role also involves supervising hourly associates, partnering with the maintenance team on various service items, and overseeing the internal waste management and recycling processes. This position is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our facility's operational standards and environmental sustainability.

What you'll do:
- Leads and develops project goals, budgets, and work breakdown structures.
- Proactively aligns cross functional resources such as production, quality, EHS, maintenance, engineering, and contractors/vendors to ensure that project goals are met.
- Develops and executes communication plans among project/program working groups, associated leadership teams, and other stakeholders.
- Lead facility infrastructure improvement projects, including HVAC system upgrades, parking lot repaving, and structural improvements.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors such as security, janitorial/custodial services, and landscaping and works with Eaton's Environmental Health and Safety Team to ensure 3rd party contractors are trained and following Eaton's MESH standards and plant emergency policies.
- Enforce safety expectations, document, and communicate hazards and unsafe conditions to ensure a zero-incident culture.
- Oversee the plant security system, badge access, security cameras, and fire detection and sprinkler systems.
- Coordinate forklift lease management.
- Prepare and submit Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) for facility projects.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for continuous improvements to plant and facility operations over a five-year period.
- Supervise and direct the activities of hourly associates.
- Partner with the maintenance team to address shared service needs and ongoing maintenance requirements.
- Continue overseeing manufacturing bathroom remodeling projects.
- Manage the internal waste removal process for both recycling and landfill operations.
- Supervise the waste removal team and coordinate efforts with third-party vendors for efficient waste management.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum of one (1) experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment setting
- Project management experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of engineering experience, including internships
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree
- Experience in strategic planning and executing long-term facility improvements
Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing both internal teams and external vendors
- Familiarity with security systems, badge systems, and/or fire detection systems
