Eaton's ES AMER MFGSC division is currently seeking a Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability Manager. The position will be based at our facility in Fontana, CA and does offer relocation assistance within the US/PR.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $150,000.00 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Position Overview
The Facilities and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of facilities operations and the implementation and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs.
This position qualifies for $5,000 sign on bonus and relocation assistance

Key Responsibilities
• Facility Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of company facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure management.
• Manage relationships with service providers and contractors, ensuring service delivery meets company standards.
• Provide policy and regulatory guidance in MESH to facility management
• Evaluates proposed projects and proposed new chemicals and ensures plans are in-place and implemented to address EHS compliance issues e.g. Ensuring MESH MOC Process is implemented
• Coordinate space utilization and optimization to support organizational needs and growth.
• Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and expenditures.
• Develop and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Ensure the organization meets all environmental and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local laws.
• Identify and assess environmental and safety risks, implementing strategies to mitigate and manage these risks.
• Oversee the investigation of incidents and accidents, ensuring timely reporting and corrective action.
• Develop and implement environmental sustainability initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint.
• Oversee waste management and recycling programs, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Implement energy-saving measures and monitor energy consumption to promote efficiency and sustainability.
• Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety practices and emergency response procedures.
• Develop and manage emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness for emergencies.
• Implement health and wellness programs to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
• Develop long-term strategies for facilities management and EHS programs aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for facilities and EHS performance.
• Prepare and present regular reports on facilities operations, EHS performance, and compliance to senior management.
• Work closely with other departments to integrate facilities and EHS considerations into operational planning and decision-making.
• Engage with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and community stakeholders to address EHS issues and stay informed about regulations and trends.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or EHS
  • Minimum 3 years of managing a team or leading projects required
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Position Criteria:

  • Knowledge of state and federal occupational environmental, health and safety and health laws and regulations
  • Exceptional attention to detail in managing facilities and ensuring EHS compliance.
  • Strong understanding of facilities operations, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency in budget management and strategic planning.
  • Ability to anticipate and address potential issues related to facilities operations and EHS.
  • Strong ability to work effectively with various stakeholders and departments to achieve organizational objectives
