What you'll do:

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead embedded (SW) product development for the Utilities segment, Electrical sector. The EM is
accountable for the NPI / NTI / Sustenance projects, provides leadership to the team to deliver on embedded SW products.
Is responsible to build Organization Capabilities - Hire and development plans for the talents of the team.
Is responsible for implementing division strategies, build and leverage synergies across teams/cross functional teams. Collaborate with internal and
external stakeholders to enhance the value proposition and quality of the engineering deliverables.
EM provides leadership to develop innovative technology

- Manage diverse product teams. Provides leadership for the team to meet its short and long-term goals.

- Develop and control the schedule and direct the work to effectively manage time.
- Monitor progress & achievements on projects. Provide regular reports on development & support activities.
- Lead initiatives to improve the timelines and quality of deliverables.
- Utilize DFSS & Agile concepts / tools for new product development &/or existing product improvements.
- Recruit and retain a team of engineers and support staff to provide for product development. Train, develop & motivate team members to achieve their
professional goals & review their accomplishments.
- Manage and develop people: identify, attract and develop key engineering talent for the organization.
- Drive employee survey action plans to attain high level of employee engagement & managerial effectiveness.
- Drive Functional excellence through Continuous improvement using CI methodology.
- Drive culture of innovation with focus on new patent disclosures and high-impact ideas
- Participate in the creation of technology road map based on Product Strategy and deploy them within the group
- Manages department budget and performance to forecast

Qualifications:

BE/ME in Electronics / Computer / Electrical Engineering

10 to 14 years of design experience with Embedded Systems based
product development

Skills:

-Sound knowledge of Embedded Software product development
-Experience leading a team through all stages of the product
development cycle
-Engineering technical expertise to solve problems and make design
recommendations
-Strong application programming in C++
-Basic understanding of Linux OS
-Working knowledge of Real-Time Kernel usage and familiar with
commonly used RTOS like FreeRTOS/uCOS/Nucleus/Zephyr
-Working knowledge of Github, JIRA, Github actions
-Experience in an Agile design methodology
-Knowledgeable on Cybersec requirements for SW development
-Knowledgeable on DevOPs

Demonstrated leadership skills, experience with design processes,
program management skills, knowledge of customer strategies,
successful new product introduction experience, creative/innovative
thinking
• Act as a technical mentor
• Review and approve design proposals based on requirements
/statement of work and present to stakeholders/customers
• Manage and develop talent: identifies, attracts and develop key
engineering talent for the organization
