Responsible for leading product development Controls team which is part of Power System (PSD) division. This role includes leading a Team of talented Firmware,Software,Hardware and QA Engineers. The team will consists of Sr Engineers and Engineers responsible for development of controls for Switchgear and Regulator apparatus . The role needs to shape up the proposals to make the products super intuitive, builds business models to generate revenues using softwares, and drives the cuture of innovation and engineering software products. Enrich & foster climate of innovation to drive growth & accelerate capability development.

Job Responsibilities:
Lead a team by understanding the product teams strategies and identifies the priorities for product development. Builds a solid rapport with global stakeholders and seeks responsibilities. Partners with Platform Teams and ensures the rapid adoption, contributing back and aligning the schedules. Establishes the urgency wheneveer needed and seeks quicker turnaround for the prioritised issues with atmost quality and documentation in terms of release notes, user guides and seeks the acceptance feedback from marketing. Developes the capbilities by reskilling team members, hirnig talent and creating standard operating procedures. Ensure quality of delivery in accordance with the plan adhering to the standard practices used in agile/waterfall model. Perform code reviews with team members for modules/tasks and ensuring that best practices and efficient coding standards are adhered to GIT. Ensures compliance with Agile Scrum process and agile ceremonies/work products, Management standards and guidelines
Required:
• 10+ years of overall experience including 2+ years of experience as Manager and 8 years of hands-on expertise in embedded product development, Sustaining and Cost out.
• Lead & execute global programs with Engineering leadership from Pune
• Manages department budget and performance to forecast
• Define Digitalization strategy for various products considering competitor landscape working closely with Electrical Sector COE's and Digital organization.
• Creates live dashboards and communicates uniformly by report outs with bug tracking, requirements test case management and collaboration tools.
• Develops the Continuous Integration /Continuous Development using GIThub,Bamboo and focuses on program and design reviews and engineering work packages.
• Deploy methodologies like DFSS and DMAIC in product development.
• Understand customer requirements and communicate them to teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate.
• Trains, develops and motivates subordinates to achieve their performance goals and review their accomplishments and conducts performance reviews. Recruit and retain a team of engineers.
• Monitors progress and achievements on projects. Provide regular reports on development and support activities.
• Provides expert resolution of issues and monitors integration of work.
• Review technical concepts of projects including equipment specification and design
• Synergies and leverages engineering capabilities across groups.
• Manages department budget and performance to forecast.
• Manages and develops people: identifies, attracts and develops key engineering talent for the organization.
• Excellent communications skills, global exposure, high degree of aptitude, creativity is required.

• Experience in product cybersecurity
• Certified SCRUM Master, Design Thinking practioner.
