Eaton's EPG CPD PCD Power Components Division division is currently seeking a Electrician 3rd shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $32.55 per hour.

What you'll do:

Primary Functions

Assemble, install, maintain and repair electrical production/factory equipment. Fabricate special purpose units for electrical measurement, control and communications systems.

Tools & Equipment

Voltmeter, amp-meter, ohmmeter, wattmeter, megohmmeter, infrared scanner, thermocouples, thermometers, oil pump, hydrometer, tone tracer, conduit bender, conduit/pipe threader, simple machine tools (drill press, band saw, shear, press break, etc.) hand tools, soldering iron, propane and acetylene torch, ladder and mechanical lift. All types of power, control and communication wire/systems, circuit breakers, circuit boards, speakers, microphones, telephones, modems, encoders/decoders, battery banks. Any additional tools and support equipment required to complete assigned tasks in an efficient manner.

Materials

Conduit, insulated and non-insulated wire, cable, terminals, solders, conductors, transformers, switches, motors, motor starters, circuit breakers, outlets, light fixtures, circuit boards, junction boxes, chassis, relays, terminal blocks, hardware (handles, knobs, hinges, etc.), solenoids, relays, tubes, solid state components, transistors, integrated circuits, insulated and non-insulated wite, cable, shunts and switches.

Direction of Others

Guide and direct other classified maintenance employees and helpers assigned to assist.

Working Procedure

1) Receive oral and written instructions from supervisor or other designated personnel.
2) Provide own hand tools and lockable toolbox.
3) Read and interpret maintenance specifications, blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
4) Layout, install, alter, maintain and repair electrical wiring, communication and control systems, circuit breakers, transformers and other electrical equipment.
5) Analyze power, control and communication system failures. Diagnose cause and make system repairs per appropriate specifications. Check system upon completion of work to ensure proper operation.
6) Fabricate parts using simple machine tools such as drill press, band saw, pipe threading machine, shear and press break. Prep and paint parts as required.
7) Be able to soft and silver solder.
8) Obtain necessary tools, equipment and hardware from stock.
9) Observe National Electrical Code and plant electrical standards.
10) Perform specified preventative maintenance on all types of electrical factory and production related equipment.
11) Perform all job requirements of "Electronic Electrician (EE)".
12) Maintain company records as required.
13) Follow and maintain safety rules and practices.
14) Perform required housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

Have completed a State Licensed Journeyman Apprenticeship Program or the ability to complete or reasonable equivalent.
3 - 5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Possess and demonstrate basic technical knowledge of some or all of the following: Stainless Steel Welding/Fabrication
Piping systems
Electricity
PLC's (Programmable logic controllers)
Process control instrumentation
Process equipment
Personal Computing
