Electrical Test Technician - Weekend Shift (LVA)

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Electrical Test Technician - Weekend Shift (LVA) for the Low Voltage Assembly department. This position is based at our Arden, NC location. The primary function of the Electrical Test Technician will be to set up, operate and maintain a variety of test equipment to perform electrical, electronic and mechanical tests on a variety of control equipment.

Shift Hours: 7:00am to 7:30pm Friday - Sunday.

The hourly rate for this position is $26.50 per hour.

• Test equipment, ensure it meets customer specifications as well as safety and quality requirements.
• Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Build positive relationships that support job objectives and a team environment and develop rapport and establish relationships with customers; will interface heavily with customers on witness tests.
• Record data and write reports, process paperwork timely, accurately, and with accountability.
• Troubleshoot various problems that could occur during course of test; requires Tester to think critically to solve problems and troubleshoot and repair warranty and non-warranty problems.
• Continuously improve work environment processes; may require Tester to develop test setups and new procedures when current
procedures are inadequate. Recognize and report quality issues through the correct channels as they arise. Must be able to work
flexible hours, including overtime and weekends

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position candidates must reside within a 50 - mile radius of this location
• Strong knowledge of the following fundamental electrical concepts: Basic Electricity, Motors and Controls, PLC Programming & Fundamentals of AC/DC

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous work experience troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical problems.
