Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a EHS Manager - Southeast. This is a remote opportunity for candidates residing in the Southeastern United States. Up to 30% travel is required.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

The EHS Manager - Southeast acts as a leader for the safety function and will provide safety guidance and direction for EESS leadership and field-based personnel within a specific region. This position reports directly to the EESS division EHS manager and functionally to the zone manager of their respective region.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and manage all EHS aspects within the region.
  • Lead the uniform adherence to electrical product installation, start up and commissioning methods, providing coaching and direct assistance to resolve technical challenges and application issues
  • Lead with incident management aspects, including but not limited to: reporting, event review, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Assist with identifying safety risks areas and developing short term and long-term strategies to address them
  • Coordinate/Perform Annual Employee required safety training and additional training to meet local leaderships specific safety needs
  • Consult with leaders to assist with identifying and developing local safety initiatives.
  • Support and mentor field service employees by having the ability to demonstrate how to perform the work safely
  • Support local leadership teams in implementing and reviewing customer safety requirements
  • Partner with training department to review and assist with the development of division training processes to ensure that required EHS training is defined and is tracked to completion
  • Develop division safety programs for deployment to a distributive/remote workforce including but not limited to new PPE requirements, corporate policies and regulations
  • Lead site monthly safety meetings, provide details of updates to safety program, changes, and develop safety topics
  • Support site safety contacts in maintaining and driving a culture of continuous improvement for safety
  • Perform DOC safety audits for local Eaton office, vehicle, and customer sites using the 5S platform to drive a safe workplace environment
  • Serve as a resource to the operations by staying relevant and informed on safety, industry and technical related topics.
  • Work with other field safety reps to keep consistency across each zone/region.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Occupational Safety and Health or Engineering (electrical, mechanical, or engineering technology) or other related degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical field AND/OR EHS in industrial or electrical industry.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates currently residing in the Southeastern United States can be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical and Arc Flash Safety
  • Familiar with Federal and State regulations (NFPA, OSHA, CSA).
  • Safety certifications: Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), Construction
  • Health & Safety Technician (CHST) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
  • Safety program development and implementation
  • Training and Leading Meetings
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Ability to demonstrate writing safety checklist and procedures
  • Strong electrical background.
  • General awareness of environmental and situational safety hazards that may exist on job sites.
  • Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Previous experience delivering informative/instructional presentations to field based and management level employees.
