What you'll do:

The primary responsibility of this role is to study, analyze the spend data finding out gaps for cost out, create strategies for cost-out project execution for Electrical Products category.

Understanding the Process and Manufacturing requirements for Electrical components, Products and Assembly to meet customer specific technical requirements and implementing those for idea generation.

Creating cost out (VA) projects and execution strategies in Electrical Products/components Manufacturing and assembly.
The primary responsibility of this role is to identify, drive and execute various cost out projects related to Electrical products like Electrical Wires, and electronic systems, Automotive products, EV, HEV battery systems, UPS, terminals, connectors etc as a part of Direct Material Productivity (DMP) team.

This involves close collaboration with Global Procurement Organization & Product divisions to generate cost out opportunities, VA projects and execution startegies.
The applicant will be responsible for working on various aspects of Direct Material Productivity with the primary goal of identifying, developing, and maintaining services that deliver significant cost out opportunities as well as creating a robust pipeline of executable cost out projects.
The applicant should have capability to analyses commodity spend data & leverage data analytics & ideation principles to create new project opportunities.
The applicant shound be proficient in addressing supplier and internal customer related queries, constraints and able to provide suitable solutions to contribute towards process improvement, alternatives and cost out benefits.
The incumbent needs to have an in-depth knowledge of requirements related to electrical components design and application, including duty cycle attributes.
The incumbent needs to have an ability to develop design guidelines for these components along with an ability to develop test protocols.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics (with cost out experience),
Total relevant work experience: 3+ years.

Skills:

2.Experience on Electrical Components, Wires, electronic systems, Automotive products, EV, HEV battery systems, UPS, terminals, connectors etc and awareness of supplier qualifications for technical aspects.
3. Should be capable of applying the electrical design basics, product concepts for new cost out opportunities
4. Preferred to have experience in product process, testing and validation activities
5. Preparation of technical compliance agreements with supplier or customers
6. Awareness of material concepts, part application and tools used for relevant product base.
7. Should be able to redesign or alternate design as per specific customer requirements
8. Shall be capable of identify projects or activities for VAVE with faster and smoother exectution to meet business need or customer goals.
9. Sound knowlwdge of application standardsIEC/UL of variety of electrical products
10. Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Required:
1. Strong knowledge in Finding out gaps for electrical cost out (VAVE) - Switchgear components, connectivity, Battery system, EV, HEV system, UPS, Creating cost out proposals.
2. Product Testing.Setup Creations.
